When I ran a small health foods business for one summer, I realized that small business owners struggle to make use of software that could make their lives easier due to time/technical constraints. This AI flattens complex operations like inventory management into simple voice commands.

Like-exchange service that had >2M users and ranked #3 on the App Store. Involved reverse engineering the Instagram API and defeating its security.
PACTS Mobile
Caseload management software used by every probation officer in the United States. I ran this project for 7 years with the Administrative Offices of the US Courts and had the responsiblity of overseeing their integration of a mobile workflow.

AI Systems
I build profitable production-ready systems from the start with a practical approach to applied AI. There's no need for loss-leading. While it has limits, LLMs are a wonderful tool for working with unstructured data. Efficient function calling with smaller models is my speciality, and it's still underutilized in both agentic and data processing systems.
iOS Development
I've been building mobile apps since before the iPhone existed, and began working with it on iOS4. I'm deeply famliar with the history of the platform and have extensive experience building for it both startup and federal environments. Whether you need to rescue an old Obj-C app, start a new project with SwiftUI, or just need help understanding the tradeoffs of building with a cross-platfrom framework, I can help you make the right choices.

Database Administration
As part of my app development, I've architected and managed both relational (SQL, Postgres) and non-relational (Firebase) databases. Service costs for a poorly structured database are a nasty surprise! I'll ensure that your database makes use of proper indexing and efficient read/write operations to keep service fast and costs low.

With nearly a decade of direct experience working with federal agencies like the Department of Defense and the Administrative Offices of the US Courts, I am comfortable delivering software that meets the most strict requirements for security, reliability, and compliance.
